Spielberg weather: What's in store for the Austrian GP?

After Saturday's Sprint race took place in mixed conditions, will weather again prove to be a factor during Sunday's Austrian Grand Prix?

The ninth round of the 2023 Formula 1 season is about to take place, with the Austrian Grand Prix being held at the Red Bull Ring. Mixed weather has been at play during the weekend. A wet-dry Sprint race took place on Saturday, won by championship leader Max Verstappen who managed to stay out on Intermediate tyres despite a drying track. Are similar conditions on the cards for Sunday's main event? With thanks to our friends at WeerOnline.nl , here's the current weather forecast for the 2023 F1 Austrian Grand Prix.

Warm and dry in Spielberg

A repeat of Saturday's rain is not expected for Sunday. While there could be an occasional shower in the morning, the rest of the day is forecast to remain dry. There will be a mixture of sunshine and clouds during the afternoon and temperatures should hit around 23 degrees Celsius when the race gets underway at 15:00 local time (14:00 BST). The chance of a shower hitting the Red Bull Ring whilst the race is on are very small. Sunscreen is recommended for spectators, with the sun potentially being very strong as the Grand Prix takes place.
