Multiple drivers have been summoned to the stewards for alleged impeding following a frantic qualifying session for the Canadian Grand Prix. The drivers had to contend with tricky conditions as rain hit the circuit, causing many to struggle as they tried to find a gap in the traffic to complete their laps. Carlos Sainz could be at risk of dropping out of the top 10 after Pierre Gasly had to take avoiding action on his final timed attempt, forcing the Frenchman to miss out on a potential place in Q2. Yuki Tsunoda also has two summons for impeding both Nico Hulkenberg and Charles Leclerc in Q1, the AlphaTauri driver ended up in P16 provisionally. Home favourite Lance Stroll will also be investigated for impeding Esteban Ocon on a timed lap in Q2, with the Alpine driver appearing to be held up on the exit of Turn 4. Elsewhere both Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant are under investigation for failing to return tyres before the start of a session. Below is a summary: Albon/Sargeant - Failure to return tyres pre-qualifying Sainz - Impeding Gasly Stroll - Impeding Ocon Tsunoda - Impeding Hulkenberg and Leclerc
