Ralf Schumacher, who raced in Formula 1 between 1997 and 2007 claiming six Grand Prix wins has said he expects Max Verstappen and Red Bull to thrive at Imola due to the circuit's charactersitics. After narrowly missing out on a win at the season opening 2021 Bahrain Grand Prix, Verstappen and Red Bull will be looking to bounce back at the second round scheduled to take place at the Imola race circuit. Schumacher who now works as a media pundit expects the Austrian outfit to bring home the win. "Imola is on paper a Red Bull circuit," Schumacher told Sky Sport Germany. "Max Verstappen was also very fast there last year, only a technical problem prevented him from racing ahead of the field. "That's why I expect Red Bull to be a little bit better than Mercedes this year too, Mercedes have not been sleeping (in recent weeks), and Bottas was also very strong in the race in Bahrain. "It will definitely be an exciting battle between Red Bull and Mercedes at Imola." With Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton coming out on top in Bahrain, the Austrian racing team will be looking to exact revenge during the upcoming Emilia Romangna Grand Prix.
