Several photographers working the Monaco Grand Prix had a lucky escape after Sergio Perez's Red Bull slammed into the barriers in his lap one crash with Kevin Magnussen.
Footage shows a number of photographers on the outside of Turn 2, Beau Rivage, ducking for cover as the RB20 hurtled towards the armco barrier.
The Red Bull was tagged by the Haas in the run up to Turn 3, Massenet, throwing it into the opposite wall and causing it extensive damage. It then slid back across the track at speed with Perez but a helpless passenger.
In the clip shared on social media, it was the second impact that was captured, showing debris flying through the barriers and fencing separating the photographers from the track.
One of the photographers caught in the aftermath of the incident was taken to the medical centre. However, an FIA spokesperson confirmed they did not have any open wounds due to the crash.
The photographer was released a short while later and is understood to be okay following the scary moment.
After his retirement from the race, Sergio Perez took to social media to address the accident - and send his well-wishes to the photographers who had been in the affected area.
