The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix marks the fifth round of the 2025 F1 championship, with Max Verstappen set to lead the pack away from pole position. Hot conditions have been present in Jeddah all weekend, with extremely high temperatures present during the day. Although the figures have cooled slightly as darkness descended on the Jeddah track, temperatures have still remained above the 30°C mark throughout the event. That is set to be the case once again at the start of the race, with a temperature of 31°C forecast for when the lights go out. However, due to the high humidity in the region, the actual temperature may feel ever higher and pose a great challenge to the drivers. The track temperature will cool by the time the race gets underway from its high figure at the peak of the afternoon, but it is set to linger around 36°C. Drivers do have the option to wear the new cooling system designed for extreme conditions, with George Russell giving the device its debut in Bahrain last weekend. However, the system has not yet been modified to sit comfortably with the driver in the cockpit, which could pose a significant irritation to the driver around the high-speed Jeddah track. The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix will get underway at 20:00 local time!
