Carlos Sainz took part in Ferrari's recent tyre test with Pirelli in Jerez, but the Spaniard made sure not to share any details regarding a reported crash. Both Sainz and Charles Leclerc drove a 2019-spec 'mule' car as Pirelli look to gather data ahead of the use of 18-inch tyres next season. Although the tyre manufacturer revealed both drivers completed over 300 laps over the course of three days, reports have emerged that Sainz may have crashed. "Obviously Pirelli testing is completely private," Sainz told RacingNews365.com along with other members of the media during the team's presentation on Friday. "So honestly, answering questions that are coming from somewhere else is difficult for me. I don't know how much we can tell contractually about what happened in the test. "But if something happened that I'm not going to tell you, it was very minor."
