Sainz laments Red Bull advantage – "They are on another level!"

Despite Ferrari finishing second and third in FP2, Carlos Sainz says there is a long way to go before they can think about catching Red Bull.

Sainz – Red Bull are "above everyone"

Leclerc had suggested that Ferrari would not be able to catch Red Bull during Sunday's race because of the Scuderia's high tyre wear rate. However, Sainz rejected the notion that Red Bull's superiority was solely down to tyre management, noting that the drinks-backed squad's long-run pace on heavy fuel loads is vastly superior to anything Ferrari could muster. "It's not only tyres, it's race pace. When it comes to race pace, they put 100 kilos [of fuel] in the car, and you have to push multiple laps on a tyre," said Sainz. "It just looks like Red Bull's race pace is not [only] above us, but above everyone. They are on another level."
