Sainz: I still have to get used to the Ferrari

The Ferrari driver was satisfied with his qualifying result after troubles in Q1 but is not happy with the way he drove the car at the Bahrain International Circuit.

Carlos Sainz feels he still has "a lot to learn" about the Ferrari SF21 despite qualifying eighth for Sunday's Bahrain Grand Prix. The Spaniard scraped through Q1 after his car cut out temporarily following a kerb strike. Sainz limped back to the pit lane but was not happy to be beaten by teammate Charles Leclerc, who starts from fourth on the grid. "It was a difficult session, especially in Q1 I had some problems," Sainz told Sky Italia. "I still don't know what happened then. "I also didn't have a good lap in Q3. While I did [well] in the other laps in Q1 and Q2, I still have to get used to the car and I still have a lot to learn. "Above all, I still have to get to know the car, so that I can drive it to the limit. All in all, it was a good start for me with the team. "I got into Q3 and I could have done a bit better there so all in all I have to be satisfied with my first days at the Scuderia."
