Carlos Sainz has bid farewell to Ferrari, in a special send off which featured his father at Fiorano. The Spaniard discovered ahead of the 2024 F1 season that it would be his last with the team, following the signing of Lewis Hamilton. Sainz enjoyed a strong campaign with the outfit, which featured two victories in Australia and Mexico City. He will join Williams and partner Alex Albon next year after signing a multi-year deal with the Grove-based team, but has not ruled out a future return to Ferrari. For now, it is goodbye, with Sainz having driven his F1 car at Ferrari's test circuit, as did his father, Carlos Sainz Sr. His father drove Ferrari's 2022 F1 car, as a parting gift.
