Lewis Hamilton was knocked out of Abu Dhabi Grand Prix qualifying by Mercedes team-mate George Russell, as his pessimistic prediction came true.
Hamilton's final lap in Q2 was only good enough for 10th fastest, with Russell behind on track and still improving his time.
The younger Briton - who has held an advantage over the weekend throughout practice - advanced through, and also squared the intra-team-mate qualifying battle at 11-11 for the season.
Hamilton complained of something not feeling right with his W14 - with the elimination coming after he claimed after Friday practice that it would be a struggle to make Q3.
He was joined in the elimination zone by Esteban Ocon, Lance Stroll, Alex Albon and Daniel Ricciardo.
