Daniel Ricciardo is confident that RB's "doom and gloom" will soon pass, following a disappointing recent performance.
The Australian driver headed into the recent British Grand Prix after performing well in Austria, where he scored valuable points.
It was hoped that finishing ninth in the Red Bull Ring would turn Ricciardo's difficult season around, something which failed to happen in Silverstone.
Ricciardo was comfortably slowest in Q2 but not through his own doing, instead an error was made by RB who left him in traffic for his final push lap.
In mixed conditions, the eight-time F1 race winner managed to salvage only 13th, in another frustrating race. Ricciardo continues to have belief in what RB are doing and believes the recent circuit types have played a role in its difficulties.
"I definitely trust the team that they've put the best things on the car," Ricciardo told select media including RacingNews365. "I'm certainly not going to say otherwise.
"It's clear that we certainly still seem to be a bit off, at least in these last three more traditional circuits a bit more on the back foot.
"So still some work to do. But maybe for now, fortunately, the calendar is getting filled with less-traditional circuits. So maybe we won't be too doom and gloom for too long."

Ricciardo avoids blaming others
Ricciardo was caught in the dirty air of Zhou Guanyu during his final Q2 lap and also had to overtake several cars in the final few corners ahead of it, with both factors having impacted his time.
It was a frustrating moment for Ricciardo, who was a full second away from making it into the top 10.
He recognises his British GP qualifying result in particular was not representative of his actual pace and that it would be wrong to throw the blame on someone for a mistake.
"I feel I'm hesitant to point the finger, I don't want to be that guy because we all make mistakes," said Ricciardo. "Being whatever how much off the pace is not a true reflection of that.
"So personally, I don't feel any different to the last few weeks, in terms of I still feel good and positive in the car.
"Maybe that's where a lot of that frustration lies is that on paper it looks shit, but we're okay. We just did, I wouldn't say a shit job, but we did a less than satisfactory job at making it work for us."
