Reports: AlphaTauri facing 'sell or relocate' dilemma

According to reports, there are likely to be big changes to Red Bull sister team AlphaTauri, with their longer-term future far from certain.

AlphaTauri are reportedly weighing up their F1 future plans and face big decisions in the coming seasons. The Red Bull sister team, who have headquarters in Faenza, Italy, and an aerodynamic technical base in Bicester, England, are looking to either improve the cost-effectiveness of the team by relocating, or sell the team altogether According to Auto Motor Und Sport , the owners of AlphaTauri, Red Bull, could relocate the team to England to improve the efficiency of the team, or sell to one of the potential new teams interested in joining the F1 grid. The report also explains that three teams are interested in acquiring the team; Andretti, Hitech GP, and the owner of Mumbai Falcons racing team, who compete in regional Formula 3 and Formula 4 championships in Asia and the Middle East. RacingNews365 has consulted several sources within and around Red Bull and AlphaTauri, but they stress that there are absolutely no concrete plans to sell the F1 team just yet. The new owners are reviewing the situation, as new owners normally always do when a takeover occurs. It is part of the review process that is happening across Red Bull, and not just AlphaTauri.
