Red flag triggered after Q1 crash in wet conditions

With qualifying being held in adverse weather conditions, Williams' Franco Colapinto was the first to find the barriers at Interlagos.

Franco Colapinto caused the first red flag of qualifying in Brazil after crashing in wet conditions.

Qualifying shifted to Sunday morning at Interlagos after torrential conditions saw the traditional qualifying slot abandoned.

The Argentine, who has impressed during his outings at Williams so far, lost control of the car through Turn 3 as he attempted to improve his lap time.

His crash came after several drivers had off-track moments - however Colapinto was the first to find the barrier.

The 21-year-old voiced over the team radio that he was OK and apologised for the incident.

Colapinto is performing with many fans turning out to support him in the South American country.
