Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko feels that Lewis Hamilton should be suspended for reckless behaviour following the seven-time world champion's collision with Max Verstappen. Hamilton was given a 10-second time penalty which he served at his first pit stop but Marko thinks a harsher punishment is needed. "I don't think the normal sporting penalties will apply here," Marko told Sky Sports. "I don't even know what the maximum penalty would be. "But such a reckless & dangerous behaviour needs to be penalized with a suspension or something like that." Verstappen, who will still lead the championship despite his retirement, went wheel to wheel down the old pit straight at Silverstone with Hamilton before the pair made contact at Copse. The championship protagonists raced each other hard from lights out all the way through the opening nine corners until the high-speed right-hander of Turn 9 when Verstappen spun out and hit the tyre barriers hard.
