George Russell believes Mercedes has made "real" gains on McLaren and Ferrari and will now be in the fight with its two F1 rivals more often - although is fully expecting Red Bull to "move" further out front when F1 returns to Europe.

Mercedes technical director James Allison has revealed the team plans on delivering a continual stream of upgrades that will result in it "bullying" its way back to the front in F1.
After proclaiming in recent weeks and months the team was finally on the right track with the W15, Mercedes delivered over the weekend in Canada where George Russell scored the team's first pole position for 20 races.

Verstappen 'not getting freaked out' saved Red Bull - Hill
F1 champion Damon Hill has praised Max Verstappen's typical "brilliance" for coming to the team's aid in Canada.
In the build-up to the event in Montreal, it was suggested the Circuit Gilles Villleneuve would work against the team's RB20 and its lack of kerb-riding after the difficulties the car experienced during the previous race weekend in Monaco.

Truth revealed behind THAT image of Alpine conversation
Jack Doohan has revealed the truth behind a quick clip of him chatting with Alpine team principal Bruno Famin he claims garnered "so much media publicity".
Doohan and Famin were spotted chatting on a balcony above the Alpine garage following the Monaco Grand Prix. The inference at the time was that the Frenchman was discussing a future drive with the Australian after what had unfolded during the race.

Marko makes Hamilton comparison after Perez penalty
Red Bull advisor Dr. Helmut Marko has revealed that the outfit "can live" with Sergio Perez's Spanish Grand Prix grid penalty after driving a heavily damaged car last weekend in the Canadian Grand Prix.
Perez will take a three-place grid penalty into next weekend's race at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, following an incident which saw him continue driving a car with "serious mechanical difficulties".

F1 fans torn over who should partner Tsunoda at RB
The debate as to who should be Yuki Tsunoda's team-mate at RB in 2025 is a polarised one, and F1 fans are almost completely split on the subject.
The Faenza-based outfit has taken up its option on the Japanese driver for next season. That means either incumbent Daniel Ricciardo or reserve Liam Lawson will be left out in the cold for 2025 - with the remaining seat at RB heavily expected to go to one of those two names.
