Red Bull handed hollow victory on key Verstappen question

Max Verstappen's future in F1 is increasingly feeling - and being portrayed as - up in the air, despite his Red Bull contract running until the end of the 2028 season, so where to F1 fans think he will head next?

The future of Max Verstappen is, and will continue to be, one of the biggest talking points and question marks hanging over F1.

The Dutchman is on the brink of securing a fourth consecutive drivers' championship and, despite Red Bull's relative fall from grace this season, is still considered the class of the field.

Unsurprisingly, the 27-year-old is not short of suitors, regardless of being in the Red Bull family since before his debut F1 season in 2015 and his contract running until the end of 2028.

As the Milton Keynes-based team has started to falter, speculation over where his future might lie has picked up - and now F1 fans are torn on where he will ultimately race next, if at all.

In a recent poll conducted by RacingNews365, a plurality of voters determined the 61-time grand prix winner will stay with the reigning constructors' champions.

What is more concerning, however, is that more respondents believe he will jump ship.

Aston Martin was over 10 per cent clear of Mercedes, but combined, they beat Red Bull by over three per cent.

So, whilst his current team may have won the battle, it is by no means guaranteed to win the war.
