The FIA has explained why it took a particularly dim view of what it considered to be a safety breach by a Red Bull team member that centred around the grid spot of Lando Norris at the United States Grand Prix.

Red Bull was fined €50,000, €25,000 of which is suspended for the remainder of this season, following a post-race investigation by the stewards at the Circuit of the Americas.

Oscar Piastri makes startling admission after dismal US Grand Prix performance

Oscar Piastri says he does not "have any great ideas at the moment" over how to arrest his slide and reassert his control over the F1 world championship.

Piastri could only finish a distant fifth in the United States GP, having crashed out at Turn 1 of the Sprint, leaving him with only 10 points for the weekend.

McLaren reveal costly Lando Norris decision it 'did not consider'

Andrea Stella has admitted McLaren "did not consider" starting Lando Norris on the soft tyres at the United States Grand Prix.

Like the vast majority of the top 10, the British driver had a set of medium-compound Pirellis strapped to his car for the first stint at the Circuit of the Americas, where he lined up second, between polesitter Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc in third.

Toto Wolff spies Max Verstappen advantage as McLaren title hunt heats up

Toto Wolff believes the "underdog" in the F1 title race has a "psychological advantage" as Max Verstappen's hunt of Oscar Piastri intensifies.

Verstappen is now just 40 points behind Piastri at the top of the standings after a maximum haul of 33 points in the Austin Sprint weekend, coupled with just 10 for the Australian.

Ferrari announce Le Mans winner to replace Lewis Hamilton in Mexico City FP1

Lewis Hamilton will be replaced by Le Mans 24 Hours winner Antonio Fuoco in Free Practice 1 for this weekend's Mexico City Grand Prix.

Fuoco won the 2024 Le Mans race for the works Ferrari team, and has been on occasional tester for the F1 team, last driving in the 2024 young driver test after the Abu Dhabi season-finale.

Citroen embark on historic new adventure as first Formula E car revealed

Citroen has officially unveiled it's first single-seater, ahead of its debut campaign in Formula E.

In a glitzy launch event in Paris, the Stellantis-owned manufacturer famous for its rallying and touring car success took the covers off its Gen3 Evo challenger, which will hit the track next week in pre-season testing.
