Red Bull simulator driver Sebastien Buemi believes 'it is clear' McLaren's rear wing is flexing as the F1 controversy continues.

Despite passing all FIA rear wing tests, McLaren continues to face speculation over whether its rear wing complies with the technical regulations regarding how much it can flex.

Following last weekend's Japanese Grand Prix, a video circulated appeared to show McLaren's rear wing flexing, a video Buemi had seen.

Since the season-opening race in Australia, the FIA has reduced the legal gap in the rear wing to 0.5 millimetres, with Buemi pondering if further rule changes are required.

"I don't know. To be honest, I'm not a technical guy, but I've seen the videos where you see it," revealed Buemi, speaking to RacingNews365.

"I don't know what's going to happen there, whether all the teams will go in that direction, whether the FIA will change the rule. I don't know.

"To be honest, it's not something I can really judge or comment on. I'm someone used to the driving but, yeah, I've seen the videos."

When asked if he believes the McLaren's rear wing is flexing, Buemi answered: "I think it's clear. Yeah, I think on paper, it's much quicker to have it that way.

"Of course, there's always regulations in place, and it looks like they do pass the regulations on that aspect. They've done a good job.

"But then I don't know what the teams and the FIA will do."
