Isack Hadjar is to be investigated by F1 stewards over an impeding incident involving Carlos Sainz in Canadian GP qualifying.
Towards the end of Q1, Hadjar was slow around Turns 5 and 6, and was dawdling on the racing line as Sainz approached in the Williams on a flying lap.
The investigation will take place after qualifying is completed.
Sainz was forced to lose nearly three-tenths to avoid ramming Hadjar, who advanced through to Q2 whilst Sainz did not.
Impeding in qualifying, if proven, usually results in a grid drop for the driver who impeded.
Sainz fell in Q1, along with Gabriel Bortoleto in 16th, Lance Stroll in 18th, Liam Lawson in 19th, and Pierre Gasly in 20th.
Esteban Ocon will also be investigated, for rejoining the circuit incorrectly after skipping the final chicane.
