Photos: Spa-Francorchamps' ongoing renovations for 2023

The iconic Formula 1 circuit is undergoing upgrades to the venue to improve facilities prior to the 2023 race.

The Spa-Francorchamps circuit has provided an update to the work currently being undertaken at the venue. The circuit has been under threat of falling off the F1 calendar in recent seasons, with the Belgian track securing a one-year extension for 2023. At a time when Formula 1 is increasing pressure on the sport's legacy venues to improve their facilities, the Spa circuit are completing upgrades to various parts of the course. The most noticeable change will be the grandstand just after La Source, which will give fans a view of the Turn 1 hairpin, along with the famous Eau Rouge and Raidillon corners. Spa-Francorchamps are aiming to have the upgrades finished in time for the 24 Hours of Spa, which takes place approximately one month before the 2023 Belgian Grand Prix, which takes place on 30th July.
