Sergio Perez will finally receive Red Bull's floor upgrade in the Las Vegas Grand Prix - putting him on an equal footing with Max Verstappen.
After the performance of the RB20 reached its nadir in the Italian GP, Red Bull committed to a new floor for the car, with half coming in Azerbaijan and the rest in the United States, but only on Verstappen's car.
It left Perez on the older-spec that had caused so much trouble for the team, but with three rounds of the season remaining, the Mexican has confirmed that he will finally have equal specifications with the Dutchman who can wrap up a fourth world title if results go his way in Nevada.
"I will be, as far as I know, going to the spec that Max has had in the last few races with the floor," Perez told media including RacingNews365.
"I'm going to that spec for this weekend, and it makes me feel confident that going onto the different spec of floor, we can be in the mix for the weekend.
"At the end of the day, the team knows exactly what they get out of me, they have so much data and information, it is as simple as that and there was a reason they renewed me in the year.
"The season has been quite difficult, we took different parts and had a difficult period, but that is just part of racing and hopefully we can close these final three races on a high."
