Sergio Perez has revealed a major problem with the braking of his Red Bull sparked an embarrassing Q1 exit at his home Mexico City Grand Prix. 

Perez's season went from bad to worse after being dumped in the opening segment of qualifying at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, leaving him to start a wretched 18th. It is the first time he has not started inside the top five at his home race since he joined Red Bull in 2021.

FIA to adjust rules after Verstappen-Norris incident

The FIA is set to revise Formula 1's racing guidelines following a meeting with the drivers at the Mexico City Grand Prix.

The revision of the racing guidelines by the governing body is to take place following several queries by drivers as to why Lando Norris received a five-second time penalty in last weekend's United States Grand Prix.

Piastri to copy 'Norris homework' after shock Mexico failure

Oscar Piastri insists he will "do his homework" on team-mate Lando Norris's 2023 race after a shock Q1 exit at the Mexico City Grand Prix.

Hours after topping FP3, Piastri was dumped in Q1 to end his run of being the only driver to make Q3 at every race this season.

Hamilton sets shock target after Mexican 'head flip'

Lewis Hamilton claims he "just wants to see the end" of the Mexico City Grand Prix after qualifying 'flipped' his Mercedes.

Hamilton will line up in sixth place at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, having been out-qualified by team-mate George Russell who is running an older specification Mercedes after his Austin crash.

Verstappen expresses shock after rescuing Mexican qualifying

Max Verstappen has expressed his shock at his Mexico City Grand Prix qualifying result after being put under huge pressure.

His first lap in Q3 was good enough for provisional pole, but was quickly deleted for track limits at Turn 2, leaving him 10th and without a time heading into the crucial second runs.

Norris facing 'question marks' ahead of Mexican GP

Lando Norris heads into the Mexico City Grand Prix with "question marks" hanging over how he and McLaren will perform.

Norris lines up third on the grid at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriquez behind polesitter Carlos Sainz in his Ferrari, and three-time F1 champion Max Verstappen in his Red Bull.
