Esteban Ocon will start the Mexico City Grand Prix from the F1 pit lane after Alpine changed power unit components.
After qualifying 19th of 20 drivers, Ocon was due to share the back row with Zhou Guanyu's Stake, but will now begin the 71-lap race from the pit lane.
Alpine has elected to change the control electronics and energy store on the A524 of the Frenchman, with only two examples of each permitted penalty-free in the season.
The new parts represent a third example of each used, thus relegating him to the pit-lane, under Article 40.9 of the sporting regulations, which covers changing of parts in parc ferme.
The rest of the grid remains unchanged, with only Zhou shuffling forward from 20th to 19th.
