Ocon reacts to surprise movie appearance

Esteban Ocon is hopeful he will have another opportunity to perform in a movie in the near future after a surprise appearance in a French project.

Ocon recently took on a small role in a French movie called Lune de Miel avec ma Mère.

The Haas driver is also set to feature in the upcoming movie F1 after being spotted in a recent teaser racing the fictional APX GP team.

Speaking to media including RacingNews365, Ocon detailed how the opportunity came about.

“I’m very good friends with a French actress called Michelle Larocque and she wanted to put me in her movie, in a little scene," he said.

“I said yes straight away because I wanted to see how it is to be in the movie industry, see how different it is to what we usually do in F1.

“Honestly, it was a lot of fun playing in that Netflix movie. It's going super well at the moment, it's number 2 in the world as well on Netflix.”

Ocon is keen to take part in another project in the future and expand his acting portfolio.

“I’m super happy for everyone that has worked so hard that it's working so well,” he said.

“Hopefully, this won't be my last movie appearance because I've enjoyed it a lot for sure.”
