Ocon cleared in Perez-Hulkenberg Qatar Sprint collision

The accident between the three drivers was enough to seal the third title for Max Verstappen after Sergio Perez retired.

No further action will be taken against Esteban Ocon, Nico Hulkenberg or Sergio Perez after the stewards investigated their Qatar Sprint collision. On Lap 11 of 19 at Lusail, the Alpine, Haas and Red Bull all collided at Turn 2 as Hulkenberg was squeezed by Ocon on his left and Perez on the right. All three drivers retired with serious damage, with Perez's retirement confirming Max Verstappen as the World Champion mid-way through the race. In their investigation, the stewards found that Ocon moved across the track to the right while battling Hulkenberg but was unaware that Perez was on the outside, with his visibility being blocked by Hulkenberg. The stewards found that Ocon's move was in a manner that would have allowed he and Hulkenberg to make the corner if Perez wasn't there. No driver was found "predominantly to blame", with the matter being considered a racing incident with no further action being taken.
