Lando Norris has been penalised for a false start at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
The McLaren driver made an exceptional start from sixth on the grid. However, it was quickly identified by the race stewards he was out of position.
Norris started the race ahead of his grid box, resulting in the championship leader being given a five-second time penalty
The Briton had progressed from sixth to third on the opening lap, although Max Verstappen quickly informed Red Bull over the radio that his rival was not in the correct position.
After 10 laps, Norris' McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri leads the race at the Bahrain International Circuit ahead of Mercedes' George Russell.
Norris served his penalty at his first pit stop and is still third in the race.
