Lando Norris feels that Oscar Piastri is so far proving to be the "opposite" of former McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo. Piastri has been behind the wheel of the MCL60 during pre-season testing in Bahrain ahead of his rookie campaign in F1, with the 21-year-old having replaced Ricciardo at the squad. While it is still early days for the Australian at the team, Norris has already spotted some differences between Piastri and Ricciardo. "Oscar's 11 [or] 10 years younger than Daniel, but he's quiet," Norris told media, including RacingNews365.com . "I think he's a little bit the opposite of Daniel at the minute. Of course, it's his first year in Formula 1, so there's a lot of pressure."
Norris praises Piastri
Despite being new to the team and to racing in Formula 1, Norris believes that Piastri has been working well within the squad so far. "It's still a big moment [for him to be making his debut]," the Briton explained. "I feel like I'm talking like I'm super experienced, I guess I'm in my fifth year now. But it's a big moment for him, so I'm sure he looks forward to it. "He's been doing a good job for the whole team. [He's] been getting some good laps in and giving good feedback. "[He's a] lovely guy and we've been getting on well so far, so [I] look forward to it." It comes amid McLaren seemingly facing some struggles during pre-season testing, with the Woking-based outfit recording the lowest lap count of any team .
