Exclusive on Newey's future

Just where Adrian Newey will be going once he leaves Red Bull has turned into F1's latest game of Chinese whispers.

Ferrari and Aston Martin were tipped as the most likely destinations - but Ian Parkes has some exclusive news that Williams could also be a possibility.

James Vowles is looking to rebuild the team, and Newey was at the forefront of the dominant Williams-Renault machines of the mid-1990s, guiding Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve to the title before leaving for McLaren.

Current superlicence rules dictate that he is not eligible for one as he is not 18 and does not hold an Italian driving licence - something he is unable to obtain until he turns 18 on August 25th - the day of the Dutch Grand Prix.

But the FIA has confirmed that it has received a waiver request for Antonelli, with Logan Sargeant's future currently in doubt.
