Jack Doohan and Gabriel Bortoleto have been called to see the F1 stewards following the sprint race at the Chinese Grand Prix. The duo were running towards the foot of the F1 race order at the end of the 19 lap race. Doohan attempted to make an overtake stick on the Stake driver but contact was made which sent the latter into a spin. The second Stake driver of Nico Hulkenberg also picked up damage as he got caught up in the incident. Doohan was also involved in another collision during the race as he was hit by Red Bull's Liam Lawson at the same corner. Bortoleto and Doohan ended the race in 18th and 20th respectively.
