Formula 2 title contenders Richard Verschoor and Luke Browning have been eliminated in a first-lap collision in the Belgian GP Sprint.
Verschoor, the championship leader, started in 11th place, ahead of fellow title rivals Browning in 12th, and Jak Crawford in 14th.
As the trio rounded La Source on the opening lap, Browning was sandwiched in-between the two, as they collided in the pinch point.
Browning was eliminated on the spot, whilst Verschoor spun at Eau Rouge, with the safety car deployed.
Verschoor crawled back to the pits, but retired with the damage sustained, whilst Crawford was able to continue on, but is running last.
Leonardo Fornaroli, fourth in the standings pre-race, snatched the lead from the start with feature race pole sitter and the fifth title contender, Alex Dunne, in ninth.
