Moto3 is a racing class in the world of motorsport, integrated into the FIM World Road Racing Championship since 2012. It replaced the former 125cc class and aims to narrow the gap between MotoGP and lower-level racing classes.

Motorbikes in Moto3

Each motorbike in Moto3 is equipped with a single-cylinder 250cc four-stroke engine with a maximum bore of 81 mm. Motorbikes in Moto3 are limited to a rpm of 14,000 to ensure a level playing field. A maximum of eight engines are available to each rider during the season, while a maximum of 17 dry weather tyres are allowed for each event. There is no restriction on the number of rain tyres. The total weight of both rider and motorbike must be at least 148 kg.

Some well-known motorbike riders who have competed in Moto3 include Valentino Rossi, Dani Pedrosa, Andrea Dovizioso, Marc Marquez and Jorge Martin.
