Mitch Evans is preparing for his latest shot at the Formula E drivers' title, with him revealing that "it would mean everything".
The New Zealander enters this weekend's season finale in London just two points adrift of championship leader Jake Dennis, with two races at the ExCeL Centre to go.
It is an emotional event for Evans, as it is his final race weekend for Jaguar following a decade with the British manufacturer.
His Jaguar farewell adds pressure to what is already an event with much at stake, having fallen short of the drivers' title on multiple occasions.
Becoming Formula E world champion is the final box to be ticked by Evans in the all-electric series, and he has often referred to himself as the bridesmaid and never the bride.
Asked what winning the title would mean to him, Evans told RacingNews365: "Yeah, honestly, because of the circumstances that I'm in, last race with the team and all that, it would mean everything. So it's as simple as that.
"Obviously, any year to win would be special, but I think just the situation I'm in now would be an incredible way to complete my journey here and, yeah, finally get it, finally get that world title.
"So, yeah, for me, it's the last thing that's missing on my CV at the moment, and just from a personal accomplishment, I'd be very proud of that. I feel like I'm worthy of it.
"I know I can do it. It's just a matter of executing when it matters, and let's hope that the tough times from the past will help me get through that this weekend."
