Mexican GP red flagged after Magnussen crash

The Haas driver had a significant crash midway through the race which required substantial barrier repairs.

The Mexico City Grand Prix has been red-flagged with 37 laps to go due to a heavy crash by Haas' Kevin Magnussen.

Magnussen appeared to lose control of his car through Turn 10 and that sent his car off into the TecPro barriers.

The car had substantial damage on the right side while the barriers had to be repaired, causing the red flag, with the incident occurring after the rear suspension appeared to break.

Max Verstappen currently leads the race followed by Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.

Sergio Perez suffered an early exit from the race after crashing out on the opening lap, following contact with Leclerc into Turn 1.
