Mercedes are set to race with a special livery at the Belgian Grand Prix in honour of an important occasion.
AMG – the high-performance arm of Mercedes and namesake of the team – are celebrating their 55th anniversary, and the F1 team will mark this by featuring special logos on both cars.
The sidepods will also be adorned with retro starting numbers combined with the drivers' names, as seen in the tweet below.
This isn't the first time that the Silver Arrows have opted for a vintage look. The team memorably celebrated their 125th year in motorsport at the 2019 German Grand Prix by sporting retro livery and outfits.
However, the weekend proved to be a disastrous one for Mercedes, and boss Toto Wolff later said that they would avoid such mistakes again for fear that it could be a distraction.
