Mercedes sends its latest beast out on track

Mercedes have just uploaded their newest video detailing their hypercar, the Mercedes-AMG Project One. The car incorporates large elements of the German marque's F1 tech.

The Mercedes-AMG Project Hypercar was announced in 2017 to great fanfare. The car is supposedly capable of reaching 200 kilometers per hour in under six seconds and has an estimated top speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The car's engine is the one that powered Lewis Hamilton to the 2015 world title. The power unit, however, is not the only component boosted from a Formula 1 car, with other elements such as the gearbox and steering wheel also mimicking their F1 challengers. Limited to 275 units, all of which have supposedly been sold, the car can only be acquired through an invite, making it one of the most anticipated cars to hit the streets in 2021.
