Mercedes remain secretive about Hamilton's W12

Toto Wolff refuses to reveal any further details regarding Mercedes's W12, especially with regard to the car's floor.

Toto Wolff refuses to elaborate on which areas of their 2021 F1 car Mercedes have used their tokens on while also refusing to get drawn into a discussion regarding the team's modified floor. During the early part of the test thismorning, the paddock was curious about changes made by Mercedes to the floor of their W12 challenger. Mercedes however, remains cagey about the design of their W12 especially their modified floor. "Not everything needs to be provided to the public," Wolff told RacingNews365.com among others. "This is also a competition of information and I'm sure you haven't seen all the cars in the specification they are going to be raced in two weeks time in Bahrain." Mercedes endured a torrid start to their 2021 season as a gearbox issue meant Valtteri Bottas could only run for the final 40 minutes of the morning session on the first official day of testing.
