McLaren end 34-year wait with constructors' championship triumph

A highly successful F1 season for McLaren has seen it clinch the constructors' championship with several rounds to spare.

McLaren has sealed the 2025 F1 constructors' championship following a successful race in Singapore.

The Woking-based squad has enjoyed an unchallenged route to the title, sealing the championship with six rounds remaining in the campaign.

Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris have contributed all season to the strong haul of points, with the car scoring 28 podiums and 12 race wins thus far.

McLaren's title success follows the title it captured last year at the final round in Abu Dhabi, when it came out on top against Ferrari.

It is the first time it has won back-to-back constructors' championships since the 1990 and 1991 seasons, 34 years ago.

Both Piastri and Norris are seen as the primary protagonists in the drivers' fight, a battle that looks set to continue until the final rounds of the campaign.

Piastri currently leads Norris in the standings by 22 points after the constructors' triumph in Singapore.
