McLaren have confirmed that Lando Norris was involved in an incident that has been referred to the police. The British driver, fresh from his appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on Sunday, headed to Wembley Stadium on Sunday evening to attend the Euro 2020 final between England and Italy. It appears that, following the game, Norris was involved in an incident that resulted in him having his watch taken. "McLaren Racing can confirm that Lando Norris was involved in an incident, after the Euro 2020 final match at Wembley, during which the watch he was wearing was taken," a short statement from McLaren said. "Thankfully, Lando was unharmed but he is understandably shaken. The team is supporting Lando and we are sure that racing fans will join us in wishing him all the best for the British Grand Prix this weekend. "As this is now a police matter we cannot comment further." McLaren are sponsored by watch manufacturer Richard Mille, with a team representative confirming the watch taken was made by the Swiss watchmaker.
