FIA steward Derek Warwick has defended Max Verstappen following claims from numerous critics who suggested the four-time F1 champion should have been black-flagged from the Spanish Grand Prix.

Warwick can understand Verstappen's moment of anger that led to him running into the side of Mercedes' George Russell, and whilst far from condoning the manoeuvre, feels the stewards on site at Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya made the correct call.

George Russell issues 'Jenga' warning at 'crucial' F1 point

George Russell has warned F1 that the championship's current boom could quickly come crashing to the ground, like a Jenga tower.

The 27-year-old is one of the more outspoken drivers in the F1 paddock, something that complements his role as a Grand Prix Drivers' Association (GPDA) director.

Max Verstappen backed for Le Mans debut: 'It's just a matter of time'

Sebastien Buemi has backed Max Verstappen to make his Le Mans 24 Hours debut, with the former F1 driver expecting it to be "just a matter of time" until it happens.

Since losing his spot on the F1 grid at the end of 2011, Buemi has enjoyed significant success in Le Mans and the World Endurance Championship.

Haas unveil tribute livery to celebrate landmark occasion

Haas will race with a special livery at the Canadian Grand Prix to commemorate its 200th weekend competing in F1.

The American team will showcase a partial return of its original look from 2016, it's first season in the championship.

Indy 500 winner makes damning F1 move claim

Alex Palou has dismissed the suggestion he should make the switch to F1, arguing he does not see the virtue in fighting in the midfield, which he believes would be a "waste" of his time.

The three-time IndyCar champion also does not feel the timing is "right" for him to return to Europe, instead preferring to race state-side where he can compete for titles.

Toto Wolff delivers 'definitely' verdict on F1 rivals

Toto Wolff has shared his thoughts on the ascension of two rival F1 bosses, Andy Cowell and James Vowles, both of whom worked under him at Mercedes before becoming team principals.

Cowell heads up Aston Martin, also as CEO, after taking over duties from Mike Krack during the F1 off-season, whilst Vowles has been at the helm at Williams since the start of 2023, upon leaving Mercedes as motorsport strategy director.
