Massive crash wipes out multiple cars at Daytona 24 Hours

Louis Deletraz had a huge accident for the GTP Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing car, taking out multiple other cars in the process during the 24 Hours of Daytona.

There was a huge multi-car pile-up at the Daytona International Speedway, with numerous cars either forced into retirement or pushed well down the pecking order. Just after 9 PM local time in Florida, as the Rolex 24 was getting back underway following a 23-minute full-course yellow (FCY), Louis Deletraz hit the wall in his #40 Cadillac after appearing to get tagged on his left rear, having navigated Turn 1 successfully. However, the team-mate to Kamui Kobayashi, Alex Lynn and Jordan Taylor admitted to dropping the car himself, saying: "I lost it. The car turned straight into the wall. It was my mistake." As the Swiss driver, competing in GTP, came back onto the circuit, he collected multiple cars, including the #9 Lamborghini GTD Pro car and a number of LMP2 machines. That accident would prompt another 24-minute FCY. Catch up with the 12-hour report HERE and you can watch along live HERE . Check out the crash below.
