Martin Brundle has received his OBE from Prince William at Windsor Castle.
The Sky Sports F1 commentator received the honour of the OBE in the New Year's Honours list for 2025, awarded in the name of King Charles III.
The heir apparent, the Prince of Wales, handed Brundle his award during an investiture ceremony on Tuesday (13th May), at Windsor.
An OBE is the second-highest rung of the British honours system, above MBE and below CBE.
In 2024, Red Bull boss Christian Horner was awarded a CBE for services to motorsport, with Brundle's elevation to OBE coming for services to motorsport and sports broadcasting.
Above a CBE is a knighthood, with seven F1 figures being knighted down the years.
Drivers Jack Brabham, Jackie Stewart, Stirling Moss, and Lewis Hamilton have all been made 'Sir', along with Frank Williams and his number two at Williams, Patrick Head.
The last F1 knight to date is former McLaren boss, Ron Dennis, who was knighted in 2024.
F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali added his congratulations to Brundle in a statement.
"Huge congratulations to Martin Brundle on receiving his OBE for services motor racing and to sports broadcasting," he said.
"He has been a tireless supporter of motorsport and a constant presence and brilliant voice to all our fans over many years."
