Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko has highlighted his distaste for the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
F1 heads to the Nevada city this weekend for the third last round of the ongoing campaign.
It marks the second event held around the Las Vegas Strip Circuit, which made its debut on the F1 calendar last year.
Max Verstappen enters the weekend with a chance to secure his fourth world championship following a dominant performance in Brazil earlier this month.
While it may offer Marko something to cheer about, the Austrian asserted he is no fan of the theatrics that surround the weekend.
"It's not great,” Marko told oe24. “This crazy city, where you keep passing all these slot machines in the lobby of your hotel, the night race.
“Last year we were lucky that the race was great, but the event as a whole failed to live up to the high expectations.”
Marko also voiced displeasure for the disruption the race weekend causes to the locals.
“The race is also not welcomed by the locals because almost everything is cordoned off,” he said.
“You have to take huge detours to get anywhere, and because of the poor connections of the flights to and from Las Vegas, we also have to arrive a day earlier than usual."
Las Vegas will also kick off the first of three consecutive race weekends to close out the season: “Surely you can say it asks a lot of me,” Marko added. “The triple header at the end of this season is really insane.”
