Helmut Marko has explained the tight bond he enjoys with Red Bull's Max Verstappen, as he also detailed why he thinks he is "guarding" the spirit of the team.

Marko promoted Verstappen to Red Bull after just 23 races in 2016, with the Dutchman going onto win 63 races and four world titles, shattering a host of records along the way, as he also defended Marko's position within the team when it was threatened at the start of '24.

Lawson to receive key Perez ally as Red Bull race engineer

Liam Lawson is to be paired with Sergio Perez's former performance engineer Richard Wood as his new Red Bull race engineer, RacingNews365 can confirm.

Lawson's engineer at Racing Bulls Pierre Hamelin has not followed the Kiwi to the senior Red Bull squad, meaning he would be paired with an existing engineer at the Milton Keynes-based team.

Wolff demands Mercedes 'draw right conclusions' from unclear F1 picture

Toto Wolff has implored Mercedes to "draw the right conclusions" over its 2025 F1 car after an up-and-down campaign last year.

The Brackley-based squad, at the hands of now-departed Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, secured four grand prix victories but slumped to fourth in the constructors' standings, despite scoring more points than in 2023 when it finished runner-up to Red Bull.

Ferrari reveals first surprise Hamilton visit during Mercedes career

Piero Ferrari, son of the Scuderia's iconic owner Enzo, has revealed that Lewis Hamilton first visited the Italian manufacturer over a decade ago when racing for Mercedes.

For 2025, Hamilton has joined the Maranello-based outfit on a multi-year deal in one of the biggest driver moves in the history of F1.

'Red Bull goes aggressive with big F1 signing spree' - report

Red Bull has managed to lure as many as 60 staff away from rival F1 teams after its high-profile departures, according to a report.

Across 2024, the team lost its chief technical officer, sporting director, and head of strategy with Adrian Newey, Jonathan Wheatley, and Will Courtenay all opting to depart, although Wheatley remained in post until the end of the season and Courtenay's departure to McLaren will not happen until 2026.

Russell reveals 'brutal' preparation for new Mercedes F1 role

George Russell has revealed the "absolutely brutal" training he has put in ahead of a Mercedes F1 promotion to team leader in 2025.

After three seasons as Lewis Hamilton's team-mate, Russell is now the senior driver at Mercedes with Kimi Antonelli stepping in to replace new Ferrari recruit Hamilton.
