Helmut Marko has appeared to rule out a potential Red Bull swoop to sign rising F1 star Franco Colapinto for its RB team.
Since replacing Logan Sargeant at Williams ahead of the Italian Grand Prix, Colapinto has impressed and banked five points with an eighth in Azerbaijan and 10th in the United States.
He will not be in a full-time race seat for 2025 with the team as Carlos Sainz joins to partner Alex Albon, with the only other seat outside of the Red Bull ecosystem being that at Stake.
Red Bull is itself currently evaluating its driver line-up for its two teams in 2025, with Sergio Perez's underperformance leading to the idea that Yuki Tsunoda or Liam Lawson could replace the Mexican alongside Max Verstappen.
However, owing to Colapinto's strong performances alongside the known quantity of Alex Albon, a potential switch to RB for the Argentine has been suggested.
But motorsport advisor Marko insists Red Bull will not "train" a driver for another team.
"First of all, Sergio Perez has a valid contract [for 2025], so we will start to evaluate the overall situation after Abu Dhabi," Marko told Sky DE.
"[Colapinto] is impressive, but so is Lawson, isn't he? Lawson did better [in the United States GP].
"As far as I know, Colapinto still has a long-term contract at Williams - and at the moment, we are actually comfortable with our junior drivers."
When pressed about a potential loan move for Colapinto, Marko dismissed the idea.
"On loan? We are not training [a driver] for another team."
