Helmut Marko was frustrated at Sergio Perez following the Mexican's collision with former teammate Esteban Ocon on the exit of Turn 5 in Imola. Perez said he did not have any radio, due to widespread technical issues with Formula 1's broadcasting system that every team had difficulties with on Friday morning Perez believes there was a miscommunication with his engineer as well as "bad timing". However, Marko sees it differently and has put the blame on his own Red Bull driver. "What else do you have rear view mirrors for? This was clearly Perez's fault," Marko told ORF. "He overlooked the fast Ocon and then it went wrong." The FIA deemed that neither driver was at fault so no further action was taken.
