Major technology establishment Apple is set to win the rights to broadcast F1 in the US.
Apple has already dabbled in the sport with the release of the Brad Pitt-led movie entitled 'F1', which was distributed to theatres last month.
F1 has seen steady growth in the US over the last number of years, especially since the production of the Drive To Survive series on Netflix.
Netflix held an interest in obtaining the rights to broadcast F1 in the US a handful of years ago, but does not appear to be a suitor on this occasion.
ESPN currently broadcasts F1 in the US, while the sport's own subscription service, F1 TV, is also available to viewers.
But it now seems the ESPN rights will be going the way of Apple, who look set to broadcast F1 from the start of the 2026 campaign.
According to Business Insider, the technology company has submitted a mammoth bid of $150 million per year.
It's an offer that ESPN, who reportedly pay $85 million per year, is not looking to rival.
Apple already has other sporting deals in place with Major League Baseball (MLB) and Major League Soccer (MLS) in the US.
