Lewis Hamilton’s incredible car collection

Which super cars does Lewis Hamilton have in his collection? The F1 driver has an incredible fleet of million dollar cars, all of which have their own unique details. RacingNews365.com had a look into his fortune on wheels. Find out which cars Sir Lewis owns.

Given that Formula 1 drivers are compensated handsomely for their efforts on the track, it's no surprise some of them like to invest in hobbies or collections. One such example is Lewis Hamilton's exclusive car collection. Hamilton has certainly had no problems amassing one of the most exclusive sports cars collections in the world given his notoriety. There was a time when the Brit was known for adding to his collection, however since becoming more environmentally conscious, these cars don't get the runout that they used to. "It's difficult because there are people (who say) like 'yeah, but you race a Formula One car around every weekend'," Hamilton told the press last season before the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. "Some of it's education because not everyone knows the footprint that our sport currently has and what we're doing in terms of trying to improve that. But I'm making a lot of changes in my personal life. "I don't drive any of the cars that I own anymore. I only drive my (electric Mercedes) EQC." That means his car collection isn't used, but that won't stop us from having a deeper look into the cars he's owned or had in possession at some point. Have a look at all the cars below.

Ferrari LaFerrari

Hamilton driving a Ferrari? Well yes, but not in Formula 1. Away from the track, the Brit has two Ferrari LaFerrari cars, the first mild hybrid produced by the iconic Ferrari marque. It comes in a open-top version, the Aperta, which can be seen on the streets of Beverly Hills, California in the video below.

Pagani Zonda 760 LH

The Pagani Zonda 760 LH is a purple car made specifically for Hamilton, hence the LH found at the end of the name. Very few were made, but the car can go from 0 to 100km/h in just 2.6 seconds, which isn't all that surprising given it has a V12 engine and 760 horsepower.

McLaren P1

Hamilton is no stranger to the drivability of a British-made car having started his Formula 1 career with McLaren. He added a McLaren to his personal collection even after leaving the team, buying the exclusive P1. Only 375 were made, and the car can reach 100km/h in just 2.7 seconds thanks to its 903 horsepower. Cost? A cool $1.15 million.

1966 Shelby 427 Cobra

Hamilton's personal collection isn't just made up of modern cars. Case in point, the 1966 Shelby 427 Cobra produces 427 horsepower and goes from 0 to 100km in just over four seconds thanks to its Ford engine. Today, this car can go for $1.5 million.

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Coupe Black Series

Although the name is quite a mouthful, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Coupe Black Series hits 100km/h in just 3.5 seconds thanks to its V8 engine that produces 622 horsepower. It can also hit top speeds of more than 315km/h.

1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500

There isn't much that needs to be said about this American beauty, the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.

Mercedes-AMG Project One

The car remains in the development stage but is on Hamilton's wishlist. As a hypercar, the AMG Project One is a director competition to Aston Martin's Valkyrie. The engine is based on the Mercedes Formula 1 engine, meaning it's better for the environment compared to some of the other cars in the collection.

MV Agusta Lewis Hamilton edition 800RR

Hamilton's collection isn't limited to just four wheels as he also has a soft-spot for motorcycles. The Brit developed his own bike in collaboration with motorcycle manufacturer MV Agusta. The result? The Lewis Hamilton Edition Brutale 800RR. Only 144 were made, a reference to Hamilton's race number 44.
