Leclerc woe continues with Hungarian smash

Charles Leclerc brought out the red flag at the Hungaroring with a big moment at Turn 4 during FP2 for the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Charles Leclerc suffered a big moment during FP2 at the Hungarian Grand Prix, bringing out the red flag and ending his session. The Ferrari driver spun across the kerb at the high-speed Turn 4. The 26-year-old skidded back across the track and hit the outside wall hard, before sliding towards the Turn 5 hairpin. The accident happened around 15 minutes into the hour-long practice session, and in addition to the red flag coming out, the medical car was deployed to ensure Leclerc was okay. It is the latest unfortunate incident for the Monegasque driver, who is suffering a run of bad luck in recent races. The six-time grand prix winner was seen climbing from his Ferrari, which had damage to the front and rear wings. There was also extensive damage to the Armco barrier, which will need to be repaired before the session can resume - although as the clock does not stop in practice, the rest of the field will be affected.
