Charles Leclerc seized on McLaren's 'papaya rules' to take a famed home victory for Ferrari at the Monza.

With Red Bull struggling throughout the Italian Grand Prix and Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri locking out the front row on the grid, the Monegasque driver ruined the Woking team's party whilst turning the Temple of Speed into a festival.

The situation at Audi took another turn with Stake's performance coming under increasing scrutiny from its new owners as it mulls over its 2025 driver options.

However, what did the rest of the world make of the race? Find out as RacingNews365 takes you through the headlines of some of the biggest global publications.

🇬🇧 The Times - 'Lando Norris blows lead again as Charles Leclerc thrills Ferrari fans'

In the United Kingdom, British blacktop newspaper The Times led with Lando Norris failing to convert pole position into victory and a driver who knows a little bit about that, Charles Leclerc, who took a sensational win in front of adoring supporters.

Norris' streak of losing the lead on the first lap when starting from pole continued at Monza and he's now zero from seven in such scenarios.

Meanwhile, Leclerc sent the Tifosi into raptures with his excellent tyre management and Ferrari's daring one-stop strategy.

🇮🇹 La Gazzetta dello Sport - 'Ferrari and that one less pit stop: how Leclerc turned a gamble into a triumph'

Italian sports publication La Gazzetta dello Sport unsurprisingly focused on the Scuderia and how Leclerc took Ferrari's strategy risk and executed it.

The Monegasque driver was far from impressed when initially brought in by the team, losing a position to Norris in the process, but when both McLarens pit again, he inherited the lead.

He managed the pace of the race well and held Oscar Piastri at bay in the closing laps.

🇪🇸 El País - 'Ferrari takes Leclerc to ecstasy in Monza'

Spanish newspaper El País also ran with what will go down as a famed Ferrari victory at the Temple of Speed.

Similarly to The Times, the focus was on the significance of the win, not on the impressive and daring means by which is was achieved.

🇳🇱 De Telegraaf - 'Max Verstappen must identify the problems at wandering Red Bull himself: 'Car turns into monster''

De Telegraaf from the Netherlands opted to zero-in on Max Verstappen and Red Bull's plight after the Dutchman dubbed his RB20 "a monster" after the Italian Grand Prix.

The triple world champion could only qualify seventh and only made progress during the race on account of George Russell's afternoon-defining damage on lap one, with Verstappen ultimately finishing in sixth.

Red Bull's lead in the constructors' standings has been cut to just eight points and it star driver's advantage over Norris was trimmed to 62.

🇩🇪 BILD - '“We need to grow muscles”: Audi bosses explain F1 project'

German publication BILD highlighted the growing concern from Audi about the performance of Stake, with the former Sauber team rooted to the bottom of the F1 standings.

The project's new COO/CTO, Mattia Binotto was at Monza over the weekend and made it clear that what he currently sees is "unacceptable" and that it "hurts" to witness.

The article also paid attention to the numerous drivers linked to the seat alongside Nico Hulkenberg, which includes Mick Schumacher, Valtteri Bottas, Theo Pourchaire and Gabriel Bortoleto.

🇦🇺 Herald Sun - 'Gamble costs Piastri victory as McLaren hint at Norris preference'

Australia's Herald Sun has paid close attention to the fate of native son Piastri and the increasingly likelihood that McLaren will give team-mate Norris preference moving forward.

The Briton trails Verstappen by 62 in the drivers' standings, but the Australian is 106 points back.

Therefore, after a weekend on which 'papaya rules' made headlines, McLaren may opt to throw its weight behind the driver with the best mathematical chance at taking the title.
