Charles Leclerc believes Ferrari needs to look at the "big picture" to improve their performance in the second half of the Formula 1 season. Ferrari has not been a regular challenger for podiums throughout the first 12 races, with both Carlos Sainz and Leclerc struggling to make it into the top six on occasion. The Monegasque managed to secure a podium ahead of the summer break in Spa Francorchamps, but prior to that his last one was at the Austrian Grand Prix. Leclerc has pin pointed why he thinks they have seen such a fluctuation in their performance when speaking to media, including RacingNews365 : "The teams are super close now, especially in Qualifying. "You look at the Budapest Qualifying and we all we were all within seven-eight hundredths in Q3 apart from the top three but, where I was, everybody was so close. 'The smallest difference can have a big influence on your results. At the moment, that's where we are as a car."
Leclerc: Need to focus on every detail
The Ferrari driver has outlined where he thinks the team needs to focus to achieve their goal of second in the Constructors' Championship this season. "I think as a team at the track, we need to focus on every single detail because, now more than ever, it makes a big influence on your end results – in Qualifying especially," said Leclerc. "In Budapest, we probably left a bit of performance here and there, which had a big consequence on our weekend. Then, the big picture is that we aren’t fast enough. "We are putting in all the effort to be back at where we want to be as quickly as possible."
